*

One of the most influential figures in contemporary children’s literature, Michael Rosen has taken poetry out of the ivory tower and into the hearts and minds of adults and children everywhere. In his performances he offers sparkling, immediate poems spiced with rap, rhyme and pun, each one crafted into a gem of expressive brilliance.

Michael Rosen has been a freelance writer, broadcaster, lecturer, and performer since 1972. He started writing poetry when he was 18. His first collection, Mind Your Own Business, was published in 1974 and jumpstarted his career as a children’s writer. He now holds an MA and a Ph.D in children’s literature and is the author of 140 books.

Michael Rosen is patron of Apples and Snakes.
