Saran Green is 1/2 of the talented partnership that is, Partnas in Rhyme, who host the monthly event called Rum Punch (every first Thursday), and the annual summer affair, Poetry in the Park.

She is a very passionate performance poet who is fascinated with poetry as a craft. This fascination is reflected in her varied style.

She was born in South London, however, spent the majority of her life on the beautiful island of Jamaica.

She is an established performance poet on the Jamaican local poetry scene. She has appeared as a guest poet at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, and has featured at the renowned local poetry bar, Weekendz, that has housed such poets as Mutabaruka and Stacy Ann Chin.

Saran has graced many events on the London poetry circuit, and has featured at Blackdrop in Nottingham. She has hosted, and featured at a number of shows for Apples & Snakes, and in October 2010 through to December, she toured with 5 other poets from across the UK in the Apples and Snakes’ Public Address tour, representing London. She’s supported Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze in Apples & Snakes in  Soho, and hosted shows with headliners, such as, Ty and Lemn Sissay. She was the 2005 Farrago International Slam Champion.
 
She has been described as, ‘A very charismatic poet - delighting all with her saucy slices of Caribbean life. She captivates her audience with her striking stage presence and passion.’
